The sky looked so cool today.  Jolene said it was busy day to fly.

It looked like a highway in the sky. 

April 29~Hard Things

Lately things have been crazy with the end of the school year and

all the extra activities. I not only remind myself of this quote

but the girls as well, we can do Hard Things!

April 28~Salt Lake City Utah Temple

 

What a beautiful day to spend at Temple Square. 

The weather was perfect,

the flowers were beautiful,

and the

company was amazing! 

A great way to end a wonderful weekend. 

April 27~Draper Utah Temple

 

What an amazing day! 

 Dennis Lee Christensen got his mission call to

Argentina Mendoza Mission, reporting to the Provo MTC on July 31st!!!

We were able to with his family when he went through the Draper, Utah Temple. 

It was a beautiful day!!

April 26~Cookies

The girls and I made different kinds of cookies to send in

care package this weekend. 

We love baking together.

The perfect, fast, not so healthy breakfast!!

April 23~Homemade Rolls

 

I have never had luck making yeast rolls or bread of any kind. 

When I found this recipe I thought it sounded easy enough.

The rolls were amazing!! 

and just to make sure it wasn't beginners luck,

I made them the next day too!!

April 22~Flowers

 

Jolene and I took flowers to a friend today after school. 

April 21~Picnic lunch

Perfect day to have a picnic lunch out on the patio.

April 20~Mini Lawn mowers

 

The guinea pigs loved their first day of many out in the yard. 

They couldn't eat enough grass, we had to move them around

before they ate to the roots. 

April 19~Sleepover

The Manera sisters slept over this weekend! 

These 4 girls always have so much fun together. 

April 18~School Days

 

Today was school picture day for Jolene. She looked so pretty all dressed up.

Raychel is headed to Band Competition this afternoon, she looked so nice

 in her black and white with a splash of color.

April 17~Snow

 

"Did Spring for get us?" 

Jolene was very disappointed with this view this morning. 

April 16~Spring Snow

 

This morning the snow started falling before the sun was even up,

and continued will into the evening. 

April 15~Peer Councilors

 

Raychel and about 30 other students are headed out for

an overnight retreat for peer councilors.

April 14~Bacon

Fix her bacon.  She will love

you forever.

April 13~Drake

 

We went to the river this morning and got to

watch Drake in action. He is so excited to

be in the water retrieving...anything.

April 12~A Hawk

Jolene saw this amazing hawk in the tree on the way to

pick up Raychel.  It was so beautiful, while we were

watching it flew away.  It was breathtaking.

I couldn't be prouder. 

I have a beautiful daughter, with great friends,

who works hard and makes life great!

April 10~Flowers

 

The first flowers from the garden.  I am not sure what they are called,

but they smell amazing!!  We cut a few for the kitchen window and

the whole kitchen smelt beautiful. 

April 9~B.O.B.

Jolene has become a member of

B.O.B or Battle of the Books.

She loves it. 

Each team member is assigned

 to read different books on the list, then they have a battle. 

The teams answer questions about the books they have read.

The team who get the most questions right, wins. 



April 8~Shared Journal

Jolene and I have a journal we share.

We write in it to each other.  It is a wonderful

way to get to know her better.

April 6~Happy List

 

Jolene has been working on a Happy List. 

She has been thinking and writing for days on

making this list.  Have you ever seen

"Pollyanna"? The glad game is what this list

 reminds me of.

The deer were out today when we were out running errands.

Jolene was so excited.  She loves the deer being so close.

I love the sound of our wind chime. 

It reminds me of my Grandmother's porch when I was growing up. 

 She had many chimes hanging all around her porch.
