May 31~Sleepover

 

Raychel slept over at Hannah's along with Jazzy which means

Jolene has a sleepover in our room.  After I got up and got ready for the

day I returned to my room and found Ella wanted in on the sleepover

as well. 

May 30~Thumper

 

It has been pretty warm lately and Jolene was

worried about Thumper.  Everyday with  him is

a surprise.  When we adopted him we were told he

was already pretty old and wouldn't live much longer,

that was 2 years ago.  So while Jolene was loving him

I took a few pictures of them to remember her Thumper. 

May 29~8th Grade Graduation and Banquet

 

What an amazing day.

Raychel had her big awards assembly this morning and got

the Academic Presidential Award signed by the United States President.

While I was at her assembly Ward was at Jolene's talent show where she played her

guitar in front of the whole school.

Then tonight Raychel has her big banquet where they all got

dressed up, danced and celebrated their graduation. 

A day/night to remember. 

Our life will start new chapter in the Fall.

May 28~Field Day

 

End of the year tradition is field day. 

The kids love this activity. 

This year the theme is Super Heros. 



May 27~Happy 14th Birthday

 

Hard to believe our baby is 14~ 

I love this young lady to the moon and back.

She is one of our greatest blessings. 

May 26~Sister Sleepover

 

The girls  love their sleep overs.  I couldn't help but take a pictures of them tonight.

 Not really sure why Jolene is sleeping on Raychel, but it looks so cute.

when I went in to get Jolene I found

her asleep in her rocking chair.

May 23~Band Concert

 

At the end of the year the High School and Middle School  music

programs put on a concert.  The choir and the bands put

on a wonderful performance to display their

talents.  This is Raychel's last year with the

Middle School, we are looking forward to High School.

Jolene will be in the Middle School Band in the Fall. 

May 22~ Math and Science Center

 

 

The fourth graders went on a great field trip to the math and science center.

It was all hands on learning.  The kids loved it.  There was so much to see in

a very short amount of time.  After the science center they headed to the park for

a picnic before heading back to school.

 



May 21~4th Grade Graduation

 

Couldn't be prouder of this young lady. 

She has worked hard this year and received every

award today at graduation.  She even  received the Academic

Presidential award signed by the United States President.

The time has come to plant the garden. 

I can't wait to shop in my own backyard.

zucchini

May 17~Aquarium

 

The end of the year always brings field trips, this is the last

one as a 4th grader.  Pretty exciting spending the day

at the aquarium.  There were so many different

kinds of fish, coral, and lots of sharks, we even

saw birds, and a tiger!

What an amazing memory for these students.

May 16~Bigger

 

We are making the garden bigger this year! 

It is going be wonderful!

May 14~Ella & Jolene

 

Jolene loves Ella and will do anything to make her stay with her. 

She found Ella asleep on the blanket and figured if she

wrapped Ella in the blanket she would stay with her.

She did stay for a little while, then she was off. 

May 13~Sloppy Joes

 

Raychel has thought she would love sloppy joes,

 and really wanted to try them, so I found a recipe that

sounded pretty good, and they were.

They turned out really good, a

hit among the family.

Success.

May 12~Mother's Day

 

What a great Mother's Day weekend. 

I love to be out in the garden, so everyone bought me

more flowers to add to my flower garden.  I love all

the new plants, colors and the smells!  Then of course we

worked in the veggie garden.

Sunday morning the girls gave me their more

personal gifts.  Both of them gave me cards that

made me cry, they have a way with words.  Jolene

gave me a jar with all the ingredients to make

homemade soup. 

I love being a mother.  I am so grateful for these

two precious young ladies I get to teach and learn from

May 11~Garden Work

 

It's hard not to get excited about the garden.  We decided to make

it bigger!!  There is something about good, warm, weather

that makes me anxious to get out in the dirt, to get the ground

ready for all our veggies we are going to plant! 

 It was a great day.

May 10~Peppers

May 9~Selfie

It seems every where you look kids are taking

selfies and posting them. 

I am not actually sure when this one was taken,

I just found it on my camera. 

My digital camera is a little heavy

and it looks like she got it just high

 enough to count. 

She is so funny. 

May 8~Sprained Ankle

 

I got a phone call from Jolene after she

got back in to school from recess that she

sprained her ankle.  She was not very happy,

she was trying to be so brave even though she was in

so much pain.  Once I got her home we propped

it up, got out the ice and stuck in a movie.

We had to make a bad memory a better

memory.  Now to keep this active one

down long enough to heal.

I can thank my mother for my

unhealthy addiction to these!

May 6~B.O.B.

B.O.B is a reading group with the third and fourth

graders.  They have 10 books to read as a team since January,

they are paired against other teams to answer

questions about the books, {best out of 5}

 the team who answers to most

questions correct wins.

Jolene's team came in 4th.  She

had so much fun being part of

the activity.

It's not very often this little beauty

asks me to take her photo, so after

church when she asked I couldn't

take it fast enough. 

She looked to beautiful

today, she is so sweet,

 I love her up to

the moon and back.

May 4~Day in the Sun

 

We took Drake to the pond this morning, it was a perfect cool

morning with these two geese

swimming and enjoying the cool water.

I love how this cat tail was blowing in the wind.

May 3~Cat Walk

 

Jolene took Ella, our indoor cat,  for a walk around the yard.

They both were in heaven!!

May 2~Family

I am so blessed to have a wonderful family, a husband who works hard,

honors his priesthood, children who are healthy, happy, and following

the teachings of the gospel, even when it isn't popular.
