August 30~Marching Band

 First home game of the season and the

marching band did amazing! 

They all looked and sounded great!

I love the smile I got when she

spotted me in the

crowd.

August 28~Crazy Hair

 

Raychel brushed out her hair tonight.

She has a lot of hair.

August 26~Sleeping Beauty

 

Raychel was so tired after school today.

She laid down and feel asleep.

She looks so peaceful and beautiful.

I am in awe so many days that this

lovely, beautiful, young women is

my daughter!

August 25~Elder Collin Page

 

We spent the afternoon with family one more

time before Collin heads out on his mission.

He will enter the MTC in Argentina on

Wednesday, then he is off to Paraguay

in a couple of weeks.



August 24~Cabbage Dip

The best cabbage dip ever!!

This doesn't last long

in our home. 

August 23~Wind Storm

 

We had a crazy wind storm last night

that blew the dog kennel off the cement

pad.  Poor Drake didn't know what to think.



August 22~Instrument day

 

The best part of 5th grade....so far.

Instrument day! 

Jolene has chosen the clarinet to

play this year in band.  She is

already teaching herself how

to play. 

I love her excitement!

August 21~Pink

 

I love our flower gardens.

I will miss this when

Summer is over.

But, look forward to next

Summer and all my

new flowers.

August 20~Fun Mail

 

My parents went to the Oregon coast and sent

some great gifts back for the girls.

They love receiving fun mail!

August 19~First Day Of School

 

Hard to believe these two are growing up.

Raychel is headed to High School and

Jolene is 5th grade at the Middle School.

Time goes fast, remember to stop and enjoy

the journey. 

August 18~Cat Nap

 

Today we went to Church with our family

for Collin's mission farewell.

It was nice to see a wonderful, worthy

young man bare his testimony and feelings

before he left for his mission in

Paraguay for 2 years.

He will do amazing things.



August 17~Saying Good-bye

 

Today was a very hard

day for Jolene.

Thumper passed away today.

He will be greatly missed.

We have had Thumper for over

2 years now.  He lived in many

classrooms, and homes over the years.

He has been acting tired lately, which

makes Jolene worried.

Before we left town he received extra

TLC from Jolene.

She is such an animal lover.

The last morning or our time away.

Our time together was amazing!

Hard to say good-bye to mornings like this. 

August 13~Family Fun

 

Several amazing days away from

reality, the perfect way to spend a

few hours. 

 Floating on the lake, fishing

and enjoy some great family time.

August 12~Water Fun

The girls had a blast on the tub

behind the boat.

I love their faces, Jolene seems to be

soaking it all in, and Raychel is giddy with

it all.

August 11~Vacation

 

We are on the road for

several days away as a family!

It is much needed and going to

be wonderful!

August 9~Band Uniforms

The girls had to get fitted in their new

band uniforms.  They look great! 

It should be a great year in

High School Band. 

Can't wait to hear them perform. 

August 8~Movies

I took the kids to see the new

Percy Jackson movie today.

They all really enjoyed it.

Raychel was in heaven. 

I love the simple things that

make my girls so

happy!!

 



August 7~Fabric

 

I really enjoy sewing and have discovered

a great website with so many beautiful

fabrics.  The question is, Where to start?

The girls want to make new quilts so

we will start there.

for a friends new baby.  It turned out so cute. 

I even made my own binding.

I love how it turned out.
